Former Juventus and Milan coach Massimiliano Allegri met and joked with Italian tennis star Jannik Sinner in Turin after a victory over Taylor Fritz.

Italian football coach Massimiliano Allegri met his compatriot Sinner in Turin on Tuesday after a Nitto ATP Finals game in Piedemont’s capital.

Sinner beat Fritz 6-4, 6-4 and then met Allegri inside the tunnel.

“I saw a great backhand yesterday,” Sinner told Allegri.

The Italian tactician smiled, hugged and congratulated the 23-year-old, the No.1 ranked male tennis player who has become an idol in the Belpaese.
