Atalanta saw defender Sead Kolasinac limp off just 13 minutes into their Champions League match away to VfB Stuttgart this evening.
The centre-back was in the starting XI, but did not last long at the MHPArena in Stuttgart, as he pulled up clutching the back of his right thigh.
See how that game unfolds on the Liveblog.
According to initial reports, it is believed to be an adductor problem in the right leg.
Following some treatment with the medical staff, it was decided that he could not continue and was substituted.
Summer signing Odilon Kossounou came on in his place to complete the Atalanta back three in Germany.
Kolasinac fitness issues for Atalanta
It is another setback for Kolasinac, as the 31-year-old Bosnia and Herzegovina international has already missed several games this season due to muscular issues and flu symptoms.
La Dea were already missing Giorgio Scalvini and Gianluca Scamacca for the trip to Stuttgart this evening, the fourth match of the Champions League in its new format.
So far, Gian Piero Gasperini’s side have played a pair of 0-0 home draws against Arsenal and Celtic, plus a 3-0 victory over Shakhtar Donetsk.
