Alvaro Morata thanked ‘marvellous’ Milan for their support after suffering a head injury in training on Thursday.

The Spanish striker was taken to hospital yesterday after a collision with his teammate Strahinja Pavlović.

For this reason, he won’t be available for the Rossoneri in a Serie A game against Cagliari on Saturday.

Morata shares Instagram message for Milan and fans after injury scare

The Spaniard shared an Instagram story on Friday morning to thank his club and fans for their support.

“I’m back home already; thank you so much for your messages,” he wrote.

“Thanks to everyone who works for this marvellous club for always making us feel well.”

Following Morata’s message, Spain coach Luis De La Fuente revealed that the experienced striker would be available for the upcoming Nations League games against Denmark and Switzerland.

The announcement from La Roja’s boss surprised Milan coach Paulo Fonseca, who insisted Morata should be involved during the international break due to his recent injury.
Morata joined Milan from Atletico Madrid for €13m last summer.
He has three goals and two assists in 12 appearances across all competitions this term. The Spaniard found the net in a 3-1 Champions League win against his former club Real Madrid earlier this week.
