Raffaele Paladino is expected to name a rotated Fiorentina side when La Viola kick off away against APOEL FC in the UEFA Conference League on Thursday evening, as Moise Kean has not travelled, while David De Gea could be given his birthday off.
Former Manchester United goalkeeper De Gea is among the travelling squad, but pre-match reports suggest that Palladino could start with Pietro Terracciano in goal instead. De Gea, who is celebrating his 34th birthday on Thursday, would start on the bench if that were to be the case.
21-year-old centre-back Matias Merino could also be given another go in the Conference League. He is yet to make his debut in Serie A, but played the full 90 minutes against The North Saints and another 45 against St Gallen last time out in Europe.
Kean has not travelled with the squad, nor has Albert Gudmundsson, so Christian Kouamé could start at centre-forward.
Kick-off is due at 20.00 GMT.
