The tension is growing at Roma with reports Roberto Mancini is in talks to take over from Ivan Juric, but also that Paulo Dybala was stunned to hear he wouldn’t play against Bologna.

The result of Sunday’s match could well be irrelevant, as Juric might’ve already done enough to earn his dismissal as soon as the break for international duty allows.

Multiple sources including Sky Sport Italia and Sportitalia claim that negotiations are underway with former Italy and Saudi Arabia boss Mancini, who terminated his contract with the Saudi Federation by mutual consent last month.

It would be a return to the Eternal City for the coach, although he represented Lazio both as a player and then a tactician.

Meanwhile, Sky Sport Italia also report that Juric has irritated star man Dybala with his statement in a press conference that the Argentina international was injured.

This was apparently news to Dybala, who did indeed feel discomfort and did not train yesterday, but was still hoping to prove his fitness in another run-out this afternoon.

Before he was able to do that, Juric had already announced to the gathered media that it was a bust.

Roma did announce their squad list for the Bologna match and Dybala is nowhere to be seen.

  1. Wow…how the mighty have fallen…now sharing a bed a with Lazio slime…..its not the coach….its the players….they stink!

  2. AS Roma opens its doors for a money-chaser-hypocrite, disgraced traitor? What a fine pair. A low-life made for another low-life.
