The FIGC President Gabriele Gravina has been ‘reassured’ the Italy squad ‘must be vaccinated’ ahead of Euro 2020 this summer.

The Italian Government has given the go ahead to host the European Championship at the Olimpico this summer and after the outbreak in CT Roberto Mancini’s squad during the latest World Cup Qualifiers, the FIGF chief said the whole group will be vaccinated.

“We are back in that group of subjects who must be vaccinated before the European Championship,” Gravina said, according to news agency ANSA.

“We are back in that group of subjects who must be vaccinated before the European Championship,” Gravina said, according to news agency ANSA.

“I had a meeting yesterday with some authorities and we had reassurance about it. The whole team of the national side should be included among the vaccinated, together with the athletes for the Olympics.”

Gravina met with the undersecretary for sport, Valentina Vezzali, when he also discussed the reopening of stadiums in Italy.
