With the midweek round of Coppa Italia second round fixtures almost complete, the top teams in Serie A, including Juventus, Inter, Milan and Roma have all now learned who they will face in the round of 16.
Juventus, Inter, Milan and Roma learn next Coppa Italia opponents
Juventus will face Cagliari at home in Turin after Davide Nicola’s side beat Serie B outfit Cremonese in a 1-0 on Tuesday night.
Inter will also have Serie A opponents, as they get Udinese following their 3-1 win over 10-man Salernitana on Wednesday evening. The Nerazzurri will be away for their round of 16 tie.
Milan will face Sassuolo after the Neroverdi beat Serie A’s Lecce by two goals to nil on Tuesday night. The Rossoneri will play in San Siro in the next round.
Roma have also drawn lower-league opposition in Sampdoria, who beat rivals Genoa on penalties in a fiery derby on Wednesday night. The next tie will be played at the Stadio Olimpico.
Atalanta will also face a Serie B team in Cesena, who beat Pisa 1-0 on Wednesday. La Dea have been drawn away from home.
Fiorentina will play Empoli, who beat Torino by two goals to one on Tuesday.
Lazio and Bologna will have to wait until the end of Thursday night to learn their opponents in the Coppa Italia round of 16. The Biancocelesti are likely to face Antonio Conte’s Napoli, unless Palermo can cause an upset at the Maradona tonight.
The Rossoblu, meanwhile, will face the winner of Monza-Brescia, which is also being played out on Thursday evening.
