There are growing reports that Juventus fear the knee injury Juan Cabal sustained on international duty with Colombia could end his season.

The Bianconeri were already dealing with the loss of Gleison Bremer for six months with a torn anterior cruciate ligament.

Now rumours are spreading that the news from Colombia is very bad indeed for Cabal, who has been sent back to Turin from international duty following a knee injury in training.

Sky Sport Italia, La Gazzetta dello Sport and more now suggest there are fears he has torn his anterior cruciate ligament as well in the left knee.

If confirmed, that would be the end of his season and spark a scramble to bring in reinforcements on the January transfer market.

Juve paid €12m plus bonuses to sign Cabal from Hellas Verona over the summer and he can play both as a left-back and a central defender.

If the initial diagnoses were to be confirmed following tests at the J Medical centre, then director Cristiano Giuntoli would have to look around for reinforcements to a defence missing two regular starters.
