Former Napoli player Roberto Bordin believes it’s ‘impossible’ for Napoli to do without Scotland international Scott McTominay.
The former Manchester United midfielder is shining at the Stadio Maradona, having scored and assisted twice in nine Serie A appearances.
Ex-Napoli player makes huge McTominay claim: ‘Impossible’
His summer signing even convinced Antonio Conte to switch to a four-man defence after using a three-man backline for over a decade.
“It’s impossible for Napoli to do without a player with these skill sets,” Bordin told Radio Marte via TMW.
“He combines quantity and quality and is tough in tackles without being nasty. He helps in the build-up, he runs and scores goals. It was an extraordinary signing for Napoli.”
McTominay joined the Partenopei in a €30m deal from Manchester United last summer, and his contract at the Stadio Maradona expires in June 2028.
Napoli are the current Serie A table leaders, with one point clear of Inter, Atalanta, Fiorentina, and Lazio, and two points above Juventus.
